About the Award
To consolidate the culture of government creativity and innovation, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure announces the launch of the Research and Innovation Award as an accelerator to provide concrete, pioneering, and innovative solutions to challenges in all sectors of energy, water, infrastructure, transport, and housing. The award will also support the achievement of the Ministry's objectives and the national strategic directions of the United Arab Emirates and reveal the most prominent and latest applied research projects utilizing innovative solutions. Furthermore, it will explore future opportunities that will support addressing current and future challenges in energy, water, infrastructure, transport, and housing to enhance the quality of life and well-being.
Award objectives
- Encourage researchers and partners to play an active and positive role in conducting studies in energy, water, infrastructure, transport, and housing.
- Sustain the Ministry's leading role in activating partnerships and cooperation with various institutions and strategic partners in energy, water, infrastructure, transport, and housing.
- Adopt recommendations related to providing innovative solutions to address the existing challenges in the Ministry and the expected future challenges as well as alignment with global trends.
